    Year Of The Rabbit!

    wei | 03 February, 2011 17:14

福, pronounced as "fu", is one of the Chinese characters that best epitomize their culture, is a must in Spring Festival celebrations. "Fu" , literally meaning auspiciousness, blessing or happiness, is a cultural symbol to express people's wishes for the coming new year. The "fu" character can be pasted both normally and upside down, because in Chinese the reversed "fu" is homophonic pronounced and regconised as "fudao", meaning the arrival of happiness.
